Baton Rouge is Home to the Best Food in Louisiana

by Glenda Daughety & Team

If you want to buy a home in a city that has amazing food, then Baton Rouge is your new home! Baton Rouge is famous for many things, and its great food is one of them. There's no shortage of amazing places to eat. Since you won't have time to try all of them (unless you try a new one every day for the next few years), then here's a short list of the best to get you started.

Tony's Seafood

A Baton Rouge tradition and Louisiana' largest seafood market, this is the quintessential Southern eating experience. Rather than being a sit-down restaurant, Tony's is both a fish market and take-out deli. But if you want the real deal when it comes to Louisiana style food, then Tony's is where you go, especially if you're in the mood for alligator meat, crawdads, frogs legs, and turtle meat!

Parrain's Seafood Restaurant

Now if you want to sit down and eat your seafood, then Parrain's offers some of the best Gulf Coast seafood selection in Baton Rouge. They offer daily specials for lunch and dinner as wall as select Sunday brunch items. Parrain's is a local favorite that can't be missed!

The Chimes Restaurant & Tap Room

This is the place to go for Louisiana comfort food. Appetizers like sauteed crab in garlic butter are sure to start the night off right. Enjoy beers from around the world. And delight in their entrees like pasta grazi, catfish perdu, and Boudin Omelet.
