‘Tis the season to be jolly….and spread lots of Christmas cheer!

The Baton Rouge area fully embraces the holidays with some spectacular family-friendly events. Make sure to mark your calendars to give your family a new traditions for the years to come and adorable memory makers!

November 25 – December 30  ZooLights  

Time: 5:30-9:00 pm (arrive no later than 8:00 pm

Create a new, fun family tradition this holiday season at BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo! Experience sparkling lights in a myriad of brilliant colors, along the mile trail. Feast your eyes on over 50 illuminated display sculptures of animals and traditional holiday displays- some as large as 30 ft tall!,  Price Ranges for admission- $3 – $5.

Taking Place now! Hohensee Family Christmas Lights

The Hohensee Family pulls out all the stops for a phenomenal Christmas Lights Show! They are synced to music that can be accessed directly from your car radio! Free to the public- although donations are appreciated for Charity.

December 8-11, 15-23.Reflections of the Season 

Get into the holiday spirit with this incredible Christmas Lights Display! Friday & Saturdays enjoy a visit with Trevor the Singing Reindeer and meander around the wonderful decorated rooms.  Also includes sweet treats from and assortment of vendors and crafters. Admission is $5 per car

December 9- 5:30-8:30 pm- Caroling in the Park 

Don’t miss this essential holiday activity….the BREC’s annual Caroling in City Park!  Park lighting ceremony, candlelight caroling and many other family-friendly activities.  Location- City-Brooks Community Park on Dalrymple Drive.  Admission is free. 

December 10- 5:30 pm- KIWANIS Downtown Christmas Parade 

It’s time for the 66th Annual Christmas Parade through Downtown Baton Rouge! With over 80 entries; including seasonal themes, dance troupes, marching bands and more!  The parade begins at St. Phillips & Government St.
